The Garden Gate is a welcoming pub located in Aldershot, within walking distance of the EBB Stadium, making it a convenient stop for both home and away supporters. The pub is known for its excellent selection of real ales, including Fuller's London Pride and Surrey Hills Ranmore, and regularly features guest ales later in the week. While it does not serve food, it offers a comfortable and friendly atmosphere with a back room leading to a small partially covered patio and smoking area. Major free-to-air sports events are shown, and the pub hosts a well-attended Thursday night quiz that funds the provision of the pubβs community defibrillator and CPR training. The venue's commitment to community engagement was recognized with a CAMRA Community Pub Award in 2023. Its proximity to the stadium and focus on real ales make it a popular choice for fans seeking a traditional pub experience before or after the match.
Lovely pub which has served as a great introduction to the world of gin, with very knowledgeable staff. Also very good beer selection.
Great local pub on the outskirts of Aldershot. Friendly locals and bar staff. If you are in Aldershot town and looking for a beer, itβs well worth the short walk to check it out.
This is what I would describe as a locals local pub, it has that small village pub feel where the staff know the regulars and the regulars know each other and what's going on in their lives. The staff were friendly and chatty and had the time to talk if you wanted to talk. The pub has that cosy atmosphere that is rare to see with no loud music, or TV's, this is place to socialise. I had the local real ale which was very nice and from what I could see was also very popular with the other drinkers in the pub. This would be a great place to meet and old friend, have some drinks and catch up, without having to shout over music and all that sort of stuff. It was a great place to have a drink in a warm and welcoming local pub and chat with friends.
Freshly decorated little local pub. Well managed and with good selection of ales and over 40 gins. Entertainment from time to time - excellent charity quiz nights monthly. Good prices, but no food. Limited parking but street parking available nearby. Pub is always kept spotless.
Friendly service, good selection of drinks with excellent gin menu. Recently decorated so looks good too. Welcoming place to be and there is always a friendly vibe with people of all ages. Dog friendly and quite a few friendly dogs do pop in, not for drink but with their owners :)
