Called in before attending the football as a neutral. What a great surprise! If you like music and football, this pub is for you. Brilliant bar staff, great prices, and what looks like a resident DJ playing two tone and mod music from the late 70s , early 80s. If I lived locally, would be in there all the time !!
Born and breed in Swindon but funny enough it's the first time I've ever been in here.. Great Welcome.. Great atmosphere.. Great landlord and staff.. even brought my dog a bowl of water without me even having to ask.. as I'm looking to move to the surrounding area so will definitely be calling in again.
Bar staff not very friendly.
This is the home of Walcot amateur boxing club and the county ground hotel has been our landlord for over forty years. We hold our awards night here annually and the landlord is very good to us. The best pub in Swindon.
Little disappointed trying to get a beer, I appeared invisible to the server, whom wanted to serve everyone else around and ignore me. Good job my drinking has taken a backseat to my weight loss so I won't be going back anytime soon, even if it I'd right outside the footie ground.
