Had a lovely stay for Valentines - chilled in the bar on arrival to catch the rugby, then off to the cinema and back again for a few drinks locally and a lovely comfortable rest in the room. Only downside was a noisy fan outside our window - no I don't mean football fan :-) :-) We had a sumptuous breakfast included in very reasonable room rate - could not eat it all it was huge! bit overdone on the sausages but all else tasted lovely. Will def be returning - very friendly staff and efficient. Thank you!
Positives|Excellent value for money|Parking valid for an entire day which in Ild Town is essential as parking is a nightmare. |Clean room|Had everything you need in the room inc drink facilities, iron, hairdryer and toiletries. |Great quality bedding and comfy bed. |Bedside light which is essential. |Excellent shower. |Great location for Old Town. |Breakfast main was hot. Full English, croissants, juice, fruit, toast and yogurts. In a lovely room. ||Negatives|Coffee not great strength.|Noise from outside. Now why not mark down for this…..well if you book a room bang in the middle of where the clubs are in a building that cannot change the windows due to planning then it is to be expected. Yes it kept me awake for a while but I know Old Town and wasn’t shocked. Was told back rooms are quieter. ||So in summery it was an excellent stay and would return.
Fabulous stay. Room lovely had a wonderful sleep. Bedding and bed so comfortable and good quality. Breakfast was yummy 😋 Best poached eggs l have had in a long time. The service received was excellent especially by Will. Nothing to much trouble. Will most definitely be back. Thank you Max and Don.
Went to have dinner with friends we ordered 4 gammons and one curry first problem was they came after we had ordered to say there was only 3gammons so one lady said she would have scampi so we wait for the food they then come to the table with the cutlery and they only bring four sets we are then told there are only two gammons,so I then choose something else and tell them to bring the food that is ready out and I will have mine after .The naan bread with the curry wasn’t cooked properly one of the ladies had asked for skin on fries she ended up with skinny fries. There were no steak knives for the gammons.when my chicken came up it was cooked too much I could hardly cut it up .The whole experience was awful it spoiled our evening Needles to say we won’t be going there again.
I held my 70th birthday party in the Vault bar on Friday 28th November. What a fantastic night it was with everything going to plan as Mark (manager) said it would. The room was clean and tidy, the food was wonderful and plentiful with a great selection, in fact too much. I would also like to thank Ben and Daisy, the bar staff in the Vault on the night for looking after me and my guests and providing such a happy atmosphere throughout the evening, nothing was too much to ask. Well done guys.
