Shrewsbury Old Post Office. Lovely food and definitely budget friendly. Steak and ale pie was gorgeous with proper chunky chips like mum made - obviously not good if watching calories but worth the treat. . The menu has plenty for everyone. Staff are lovely and dogs are made welcome π
Had a great early evening meal here whilst visiting Shrewsbury. I had the Fish and Chips and my wife the Mushroom and peppers Stroganoff, two meals for Β£20! Decent sized portions for the price and no frills. It was 5pm on Monday so we were the only people dining, although others did come in as we were leaving.
Location perfect. Room was spotless. Size was perfect. Checkout time was 10.30 which in my view is very early. Breakfast was good but would have liked option of fresh fruit. Noise in weekends is alot in the evening until about midnight due to live music. So if light sleeper you would need earplugs.
