Lovely old pub. Nice atmosphere, looks small from outside but does go back pretty far. Also a massive beer garden. We sat outside and had a good chat with a few locals. Plenty of drinks to choose from, good prices. Good staff. I’d certainly visit again.

The only interesting thing about this pub is the 14th century surviving part of a hall-house out back in the beer garden.

Great, quirky pub. Friendly staff with a mixed vibe of younger and older customers. Plenty of seating and a lovely garden. Toilets clean and tidy.

Excellent pub experience. High ceilinged front and back bars, no music and the TV off when I went. Huge garden: maybe 30 picnic benches. One local beer (Salopian) on plus standards like Landlord. Another fine Shrewsbury pub.

Well I’ve here since 1984 onwards and old school pub as we real locals love I enjoy to return from being overseas to enjoy a glass of wine with friends and real locals. Russ made this the best place in town and greatly miss, but we all catch up
