The location was perfect. Right in town, easy to get anywhere. The atmosphere was fun, complete with all the needed things. Conversations and ,music,smiles,food,drink. My room !!! The Dingle. How it felt like a regular bedroom. Extra sitting chairs, big bright windows, with a view directly up a street. People watching was at a highest level. The sheets were a bit rough and the pillows really could use to be more fluffy but I think maybe that’s a personal choice. The soft blanket at the foot of the bed made it all okay. The staff was very helpful, and accommodating. Such a pleasure. I can’t wait to come back. Next trip I will stay here the whole time.
We stayed here to go to a gig about 4 buildings away. What a gem it was. We had evening meal before the gig it was great. The place is a twist of old but modern. You just want to spend time in the easy chairs and have just another drink. The rooms were fun up winding stairs to clean rooms set in a very old building. Staff were fantastic and the breakfast was top draw. Drink, stay, eat its all good. Try it thank me later OK 👍
Went for lunch, didn't use the accommodation. Lunch was absolutely fantastic. I went for the 8oz and it was cooked to perfection, peppercorn sauce was so nice, staff extremely friendly. Lovely background music to suit rhe ambience of the venue.
We had an absolutely fantastic experience hosting a fundraising event at The Loopy Shrew. From start to finish, everything was seamless. The team went above and beyond to ensure the event ran smoothly, and their support, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm made a real difference throughout. The venue itself was perfect - welcoming, well-organised, and full of great energy, creating the ideal atmosphere for our guests. Thanks to The Loopy Shrew, we were able to deliver a truly memorable and successful event. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Loopy Shrew.
I booked 4 nights bed and breakfast, they were renovating the kitchen the 1st two days so there was no breakfast, these things happen but they also did not try to make it right once. Don’t seem very guest focused at all.
