Owner is lovely, really welcoming and really kind. Food was gorgeous and really good price, very good quality and generous portions. 100% recommend visiting this pub if your in the area or want a really good meal in a good atmosphere.
We had the funeral wake here for my nan. The spread that they put on was excellent with a good variety of foods. Good variety of lagers etc on tap too which was much needed. Would definitely come back again for menu food as it all smelt amazing.
We visited the peacock as stop off point when travelling to see family, when we arrived we were greeted by the gentlemen behind the bar, they were warm and friendly! We ordered our food and drinks and they arrived in no time at all, the food was amazing! The young lady who did a check back was polite and friendly, our dog loved her and the attention! It is nice to see a pub with great staff, lovely food and a beautifully served ale! I personally loved the trophies that they have on display which we were told if we wanted to we could have photos with which I think is great, my grandchild would love this so we will definitely be back being big football fans! All in all a great first visit to the peacock and we canβt wait to come back again, have more food and next time we will come to watch football Thank you
This is a traditional pub with a fair few screens around showing sport, lots of seating and wood panelling make it look welcoming. The garden is quite large and pleasant. The staff seemed friendly and efficient, asking about food allergies straight off the bat. There is a reasonable selection of drinks and the food menu has some variety. We were a bit disappointed by the food; it wasn't bad just underwhelming for the price. That said, the breaded chicken breast was impressively crispy and tasty, if a little dry. The beer was fine, over a fiver for a pint of ale though. Overall not a bad place to stop by, but I'm in no rush to go back
First Class Pub, Quality guys & gals behind the bar.
