Friendly staff. 3 of us had meat and all over cooked. The rest of the dishes were fine. Nice dessert, but not all on the menu was available.
I recently held my baby shower at the venue and had such a wonderful experience from start to finish. Mandy, the AGM, managed the booking for me and made the whole process incredibly easy and smooth. She was so helpful and ensured everything was organised perfectly ahead of the event. The night before the shower, Adam kindly helped me set up the room, which made a huge difference and really took the stress off preparing everything myself. On the day of the event, Jackson, the team leader, and Annabelle, the bartender, ran and managed the bar and function room brilliantly. Everything ran so smoothly, and they were all so accommodating and attentive throughout the day. The team truly helped make the celebration special, and I’m so grateful for their support and professionalism. I would highly recommend this venue for any special occasion.
Called in for a drink with my dog whilst waiting for a friend who was visiting hope hospital. I’ve eaten here before and had a nice meal. Didn’t eat this time but I asked about dog treats to which they didn’t have any but the gal behind the bar offered to get some sausage cooked up for pooch. A very nice gesture and thanks but I was only there for a quick drink so declined. But I will take you up on the offer next time.
This was the single worst dining out experience I think I have ever had. I am not joking or exaggerating. The servings were so meagre the waitress actually looked embarrassed to serve them. This was CANTEEN fare, and even then, I've eaten at canteens with better portion control. The food was bland and boring, the menu was massively fixated and offered stunningly little options for it's size, but the real killer was the quality of the food and size of the portions, they genuinely were a disgrace, I would be embarrassed to stand by them. We will never come back to this place, and we live close.
So I've had a previous bad experience with this brand before but my visit to the royal sovereign was nothing short of exemplary. Rebecca who we spoke with was lovely the place was clean well decorated and had a good atmosphere,my pint of madri was crisp and clean and I had the sirloin which again was cooked exactly how I asked and the overall quality was way above the price point. Rebecca meal checked us but I was too busy eating to reply so a thumbs up had to suffice. Overall a lovely experience and well done to the whole team.
