A strong matchday option for Nottingham Forest supporters: the pub explicitly promotes watching Forest games and shows live football on Sky Sports and TNT Sports. Inside, there’s a designated sports area with big screens, plus a bar area with large-screen sport. It’s also practical on matchdays thanks to frequent bus routes and the nearby Queens Medical Centre tram stop, making it easy to move between the city and the grounds. If you’re settling in before or after the game, food is served with a full menu, so you can eat without leaving your table.
£13.99 for 2 mains is very great. The chips was crispy. The waitress Pamela provided excellent service. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
If you’re looking for a spot that actually understands the assignment when it comes to a stress-free hangout, this is it. Honestly, I am obsessed with the vibe of this pub. It’s the definition of "no fuss"—you just walk in, snag a table, and handle everything from the Greene King app. No awkward hovering at the bar or trying to flag someone down; just pure, unadulterated main character energy while you lounge. Let’s talk about the real star of the show: the menu. The food here hits different, especially when you consider the price point. In a world where everything is getting way too pricey, finding delicious, comforting plates that don't break the bank feels like a total win. It’s high-quality fuel for a very cool price. The only "catch"—and I use that term lightly—is the pace. If you’re in a massive rush, be aware that the kitchen takes its time. You might be looking at a 30-40 minute wait for food during the busy shifts. But honestly? If you’re there to actually chill, it doesn’t even matter. The staff are total pros—super courteous, professional, and they genuinely make you feel welcome. I’d recommend this spot to anyone who wants to pair a few Greene King drinks with a solid meal without the mid-city price tag. It’s the perfect place to decompress, catch up with the crew, and just vibe out.
Didn't try the food but it's a charming pub with two outdoor areas to enjoy depending on the weather. You can order via the app and have the drinks deliver to you which is convenient during the rush hours.
Fantastic pub lots of seating inside and out. Ive had a few items off the menu and they have been spot on! The jerk wings are epic! The staff are always friendly and accommodating. A really good well rounded pub & restaurant and dog friendly too. Id recommend to anyone visiting Nottingham or indeed Nottingham residents. Plenty of parking for punters. So thankyou Rose and Crown for a lovley warm accomodating time ive had. Ill being my dad in next time hes 92 👍😎🙏🇯🇲
The place has a good atmosphere however the food was just so terrible. This is the worst fish n chips that I ever had in the UK
