We as a family come here sometimes for meals for special occasions, we came here on Thursday for our Christmas dinner!! The revamp looks better and looks more cosy than what it was like previously. The festive burger was what I had and it was delicious! Me and my family love it here!! Lots of food and drinks to choose from. The staff are wonderful too, they're attentive, however I had to keep getting their attention at points which is something you shouldn't have to do but for me that's not a big deal, they are still attentive staff and welcoming. The atmosphere is very comfortable, and it looks like your eating at someone's house, lovely pub 😊
The place carries itself with that quiet, old-world charm Milton Keynes sometimes hides away, and Ye Olde Swan leans into it beautifully. The moment you step through the door, the fire is already doing half the welcoming for you. It crackles with the sort of confidence only a well-loved pub can have, throwing out a glow that makes the whole room feel settled and familiar. I have to travel half the city to get here, but worth it!
Fully booked on a Friday lunchtime, which is a great sign for a country pub! Food was reasonably priced, good quality and arrived quickly. The veggie tart was especially good. Although busy, our servers ( big shout out to Olivia!) provided the perfect balance of checking on us and leaving us in peace. We felt under no pressure to rush and ended up staying 4 hours!! Well done YOS.
We visited as a group of 6 on Sunday lunchtime and had a wonderful experience. All the starters, roast dinners and desserts were great quality and delicious. Very good portion sizes and fantastic service from all the staff. Thank you all. We will definitely be returning very soon.
