Warbler on the Wharf regularly shows major football, advertising tournament games and the Euros final on a big screen. Posts also invite supporters to come in before kick-off, making it a neutral, welcoming spot to watch matches. For a matchday pint, CAMRA lists three regular McMullen cask ales (AK Original Mild, Country Bitter, IPA), and the bar also rotates Rivertown keg beers such as SIPA, Pilsner and REED. Food is served (including a weekday lunch menu), so fans can eat while watching. Overall it’s a good all-rounder for home or away supporters in Milton Keynes who want to watch live football with cask/keg options and food on during the day.
We had our wedding celebration here last week and it was a great time. The events manager was so such a delight helping us plan our day. Communication was excellent. I changed my mind a few times on menu choice and recieved positively. We were allowed to bring in our own deco, which was amazing. On the day the team on duty were so pleasant, it felt like they were part of the guests. For a big group the food was served hot and cooked to perfection, with all dietary restrictions accommodated . Guests arriving late were catered for. We were pleasantly surprised by the bill. Overall excellent experience ❤️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3.5/5 Warbler on the Wharf, Milton Keynes Me and my partner visited Warbler on the Wharf yesterday evening and overall had a decent experience. We booked a table for 6:15 pm and were seated quickly. Service started off great — our server was lovely, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed, from sauces and straws to extra gravy for our roasts. She definitely deserved the tip we left. For drinks, I ordered a margarita (which was really nice) and my partner had an orange juice. We also shared the sourdough starter, which was delicious and well worth the £7.95. For mains, we both went for the Sunday roast. Unfortunately, the beef was already sold out by 6:30 pm, which was a bit disappointing, but I opted for the lamb shoulder instead — it was tender and tasty. My partner had the pork joint and said the vegetables were lovely, but the roast potatoes really let the meal down. They tasted and felt like they’d been cooked in bulk — rock solid and lacking any flavour, which was a shame as everything else was enjoyable. Atmosphere-wise, it was okay. The dim lighting gave a nice, slightly luxury feel, but there were a few people nearby laughing and swearing quite loudly, which took away from the relaxed vibe — something to keep in mind if you’re dining with family. Overall: • Food: 3/5 (great flavours, poor potatoes) • Service: 4/5 (our server was wonderful) • Atmosphere: 3/5 (nice lighting but a bit noisy) Would return for the service and to try something other than the roast.
Came here for my mum’s birthday and it was a lovely experience from start to finish. Sthephaney was friendly, welcoming and accommodated the dietary needs in our group with ease. The food was awesome and my mum had the best time. We will definitely come back again :)
Warbler on the Wharf is a very nice pub, serving great food, in a desirable location on the waterfront of the Grand Union Canal in Milton Keynes. The decor and layout is very welcoming and aesthetically pleasing, with a relaxed atmosphere that isn't at all rowdy! There's a large bar area and even larger dining area. And the food was of very high quality for a pub. I had the pan-seared scallop with a spicy cauliflower purée and nduja sausage as a starter. It was delicious, and well cooked. For a main course I had the 10oz ribeye steak with thick-cit chips, onion best and rocket salad, with bearnaise sauce on the side. It was ordered "rare" and that's exactly how it came. Cooked perfectly, and was really lovely! Service was superb and attentive. I was a lovely experience. The grounds and view onto the canal was very nice, plus there's plenty of parking.
First time eating at Warbler on the Wharf and it won’t be the last time. The food was gorgeous and the service was fantastic. Huey made sure we were constantly okay and the food was okay, he even catered to two dogs and a teenager, ensuring the dogs had their own cooked chicken (at the owners request but were not charged extra) and that the fussy teenagers salad didn’t touch his precious steak (because that would be disastrous!). I cannot fault the food, it was cooked to perfection and the desserts were divine. Thank you Huey for your incredible customer service!! From: Steph, Adam, Harvey, Fraser & Barney
