First time having Sunday roasts at the Wavendon Arms. Love the festive interiors and cozy atmosphere that made me feel like it’s Christmas already! Highly recommend the tasty Pan-fried King Prawns with Harissa & lemon butter, rosemary & sea salt focaccia. The Trio of Roasts with beef sirloin, pork belly and chicken, crackling, chestnut & pork stuffing actually can be shared by 3 people as there’s quite a lot of meat and vegetables together and we couldn’t finish all of them. The beef sirloin was disappointing as it was overcooked and bit hard to eat. The pork belly contained more fat than normal but it was ok with me and I love all the fresh vegetables as they were all sweet and perfectly cooked! Roast chicken was standard. As we were too full, we only ordered one Tiramisu with layers of mascarpone, sponge & liqueur coffee with Bourbon vanilla ice-cream. It wasn’t too sweet but smooth and delicious. Staffs were all friendly and helpful. Just a reminder that VAT was added at the end of the bill but not the service charge. You can add on the service charge when you pay by card machine.

Found this restaurant while visiting Woburn. Booking involved talking to an Ai booking service which wasn’t easier than just talking to a person. The staff were very helpful and Paul was very attentive, ordering food felt like a constant “upsell” for sides, extras, water & bread which was served with frozen garlic butter plus oil etc. Bit of a wait for food though we were a party of 6. Are orders were fish and chips that had the best mushy peas my daughter had ever tasted and a good sized fish. Steak & malbec pie which wasn’t great with too much chewy gristle and undercooked veg. A burger and chips that was fine. Pasta dish off the special menu which was great and delicious. Signature duo pork & scallops this was too much pork not enough scallop with undercooked broccoli. I had the surf & turf which was £39 and only consisted of a small filet steak and 2 king prawns, a few chips and tiny bits of mushroom that tasted liked tinned mushrooms and peppercorn sauce, absolutely not worth the price. All in this meal came to £216 and definitely wasn’t worth it.
