Burnt Oak promotes itself as a sports pub showing live football on Sky Sports and TNT Sports, with fixtures advertised on its dedicated sports page. The venue lists Sports TV among its facilities, and its food menus mean you can get meals or snacks alongside the match—useful for pre-game, half-time or post-game viewing if you’re watching on TV in Milton Keynes rather than at the ground.
Unforgettable Experience at Burnt Oak! From the moment we walked in, Burnt Oak delivered an exceptional evening. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome — truly top-notch service. We kicked things off with a frosty stein of beer that hit all the right notes: crisp, refreshing, and perfectly poured. Then came the chicken wings… wow. Juicy, smoky, and packed with flavour — easily some of the best wings I’ve had in ages. Whether you’re a wing aficionado or just craving something delicious, these are a must-try. Burnt Oak nails the balance between great food, great drinks, and genuinely great people. Can’t wait to come back!
A pleasant enough city pub. Service was a bit slow - the bar man was doing his best, serving 3 customers at once. We had a buffet that was generous, and the hot food was freshly made and tasty.
Lovely local pub, nice chilled atmosphere, friendly welcoming manager and staff. The locals are friendly and welcoming, I had a really fun Saturday evening there with the DJ playing various different genres of music, everyone was dancing and having fun. I've been in for food there also and it was very nice, hot and it was presented to a high standard. Definitely will be back again soon.
The new landlord is excellent.. remembers his customers, is friendly.. knows what you drink and preferences. He clearly is keen and has many plans ahead.. I wish you luck. 👍 My own local landlord took two years to even say hello and possibly remember what I drink...lol.
Visited because it came up as a pub in the area showing sports. I rang a couple of days before to make sure they would show the Premiership rugby cup final and was assured that would be fine. Turned up at half time having been running the MK half marathon, slightly worried that football fans would have hijacked the screens to watch a game but bizarrely at 1pm we appeared to be the first people entering the pub, narrowly beating a Rangers fan wanting to watch the Celtic Rangers game. The landlord was very accommodating allowing us to watch the rugby in a room at one end of the pub whilst others watched the football in the main bar. Despite there only being 3 of us for the rugby and about 20 odd in the end for the football it all worked well and I was very grateful to the manager for making it all work. Surprisingly quiet for a Sunday lunchtime, but apparently it's because they currently don't do food.
