Well I have to say, what a pleasant experience! Tori was very attentive, polite and professional. The food was great, pool table nice and clean but my friend’s company was average. Soz Keely mate! Will definitely return to the star. They play the sky football…even better!

Well guess what!! My wife and I are here, drinking and dining...again!! Of course it's the lasagne for the better half and a very generous fish & chips for me...with a lovely pint of IPA thank you. I must praise Ollie for effortlessly moving around all tables in a very busy pub tonight and making sure everything was ok...not just for us but the other diners. Don't know how you do it but thank you, for always welcoming us and making us feel at home. TBH, all the staff are absolutely the best...that's why we keep coming back! The atmosphere, as usual, simply the best!

Wonderful pub, haven't been before the reno but glad we did. Only a 15 min walk for us, we decided or go for our anniversary. Really fast & friendly service, lots of plant based options for us which is perfect! Tori was our server, really took care of us & made us feel very welcome! Will deffo be back again. I had such a great experience at The Star recently and felt I had to leave a review—especially because of Leanna’s outstanding service. From the moment we arrived, Leanna was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. She made us feel completely at ease, checked in at just the right times without ever being intrusive, and handled everything with a smile—even when it got busy. It’s clear she really cares about customers having a great time., and she was happy to make recommendations, which were spot on. Nothing was too much trouble, and her positive attitude honestly made the whole visit that much better. It’s rare to come across service that stands out this much, but Leanna absolutely nailed it. She’s a real credit to The Star, and I’ll definitely be coming back again because of her. Highly recommend!

We came for a birthday breakfast for 8 people. Food was tasty as usual and a great price. Staff are always friendly. Santa was doing breakfast and he came over to speak to the kids, gave them a gift each and they had photos with him! A lovely surprise! Thanks so much 🙂
