I visited The Hastings Arms on 19th March 2026 for lunch, this was my first visit to this pub. The pub had an dog there, who had worms. The menu was extremely limited, and was an itemised menu, so anything you wanted like an omelette, they charge extra for the cheese. I actually asked for Ham and Cheese Omelette but they had no Ham, only the cheese. They put the cheese on the outside of the omelette not inside. It was very disappointing. I cannot recommend this pub.
Great place to host a sizeable crowd for event. Spacious parking space, wonderful chef with delicious meals. Has a pub where Karaoke evening is fun
Nice carvery, choice of 3 meats Turkey, Beef, Gammon - you could have 2 - Β£15. Kids meal they could choose 1 - Β£10. Choice of veg and 1 x Yorkshire pudding each. Plus some different offerings to taste, made by the chef - nice and spicy! Staff were all nice. Steps from pub to get up into the back room where restaurant and toilets are, not particularly wheelchair friendly. Also the clientele were on average aged 65+ and most of them struggled with the stairs and holding their drinks! I ended up helping a few of them. Has a Pub garden but not used much, not very special. Bit rundown. Overall a nice Sunday roast. X Thank you. X
We went here today, as we have heard how good the Sunday lunch was. We weren't disappointed it was delicious, a great choice of four different meats, were you choose two. The veg were cooked perfectly roast potatoes were delicious. The staff are so lovely and very helpful with myself on crutches nothing was too much trouble. My dessert was apple crumble with custard again delicious...
Had the pleasure of renting the hall here for a party. The staff and management were amazing! Nothing was too much and they were so lovely. Everyone that attended were served at the bar by amazing staff and nobody had a single negative thing to say! Would highly recommend π
