Just been in the Travellers Rest for the Karaoke. Great atmosphere with young and old mixing. Play Your Cards Right went down well and I cannot believe they are serving fish and chips, curry and rice and cottage pie all for £2 a throw. Big up the landlord for doing this for the community, he cannot be making a penny off the food
Friendly stop over (ring in advance, very friendly landlord plus EHU) Very handy for cycling into Blackpool. Good chatting rum n ready vibe. Lovely cold beer. Interesting, friendly locals. Old school boozer. Throwback to the good old days! Entertainment on. Also sells cars.

Was my first time at the Travellers rest. I cannot recommend it strongly enough! As a venue it's perfect! It's obvious just from talking to the locals. That the quality of live music Is consistently great. Making it a no brainer as an addition to any music fans local list of quality places to see fantastic live music. The pub is spacious without losing warmth of atmosphere. I can't speak highly enough of the staff who were warm, friendly helpful and efficient. And this friendly feeling extends itself on both sides of the bar! Everyone I spoke with had only good things to say of the pub. And landlord. it is a a great local resource. Traditional in the best sense. And so my recommendation is. If you haven't been yet. What the hell are you waiting for?
