We love it here. Always a lovely atmosphere, incredibly dog friendly and such a great menu and choice. Food is always really good quality and cooked well. For a cracking pub dinner you really can't go wrong
Been past this place loads of times on the way to visit family and said we'd try it sometime.. finally tried it and so glad we did. Lovely cosy little pub quite busy with regulars good selection of food on the menu and all home made I had pork with stilton and caramelised apple sauce . Pork was cooked nicely, wasn't tough or chewy and the sauce complimented it nicely. My partner had cheese and onion pie which I had a taste of and can safely say it's one of the best home made pies I've had since my grans it was lovely. Staff were friendly and professional offering good suggestions So glad we stopped off and will be back again for more pie

Visited the Black Bull today for the very first time……….i can definitely say it won’t be the last!!!! What a find. The staff are all super lovely efficient and friendly, the food is amazing (especially the chips!!) and to top it off they have an additional slimming world friendly menu for those (like me) who are trying to loose a little. I had the Slimming chilli and the hubbie had a steak. Everything came piping hot and great sized portions. We will definitely be back soon (I wonder if they do Sunday lunch?? )
Went for lunch today been many times always satisfied but not today. Ordered 2 mince and onion pie meal small plate. one with mash and one with chips both with mushy peas and extra gravy. Mushy peas more like pea soup about 15 chips and gravy came later very disappointed
