Set in Hough (CW2 5JS) just south of Crewe, The White Hart works as a sit-down option on matchdays. The pub serves food daily (Sat 11:00–21:00; Sun 11:00–18:00), so it’s practical for a pre- or post-match meal. CAMRA/WhatPub lists regular cask ales such as Sharp’s Atlantic, Doom Bar and St Austell Tribute for a proper pint. WhatPub also flags on-site parking, which is useful if you’re driving on matchday. While it’s not a dedicated football pub by the ground, UseYourLocal lists the White Hart in Hough among venues with Amazon Prime Video, which carries some Premier League fixtures—handy when games are streamed.
The pub has a nice country feel and the food was nice. It would have been nice to have been informed what the specials were as I only found out after I ordered from the menu. The portion sizes are quite small, I was even advised by the server not to order a side-dish of garlic roasted broccoli due to it being a small portion!
We had a really lovely’ impromptu’ family meal early Friday evening. This pub is an understated hidden gem. The service and the quality of the food was excellent. The pubs got a lovely family atmosphere, however , there are quieter little nooks if that’s what you want which we did. We will definitely be returning very soon. Thank you Evie, Ellie and Maddie who looked after us xx
We never had food but we were here on holiday and popped in for a drink and ended up having a few. Very dog friendly and welcoming and even gave missy some treats. The coffee was brilliant too. The landlord was very friendly too.
Had a meal here today, boxing day, and food staff was amazing. Was going to do 1 star for atmosphere but not due to staff but a table who spoke to the manger in the most horrendous way(i wasn't only table thought this). They wanted steaks rare but apparently they were over cooked. Today was pre order mine was perfect btw as on my pre order asked for steaks rare. So lovely young lady, manager, apologised and said will re do mains. But not good enough they argued about the bill and adamant not going to pay. An enjoyable meal from the hart was had. To the table who argued with the staff and has left a bad review (and his brother) shame on you. Also read your profile reviews on places you have been, seems like a pattern not a nice word. Thank u the hart meal amazing x
.Not sure where to start. We arrived for a Boxing day meal booked weeks ago. The starters came to the Table as soon as we were seated. Should have started alarm bells ringing. It was not what we had ordered on the pre booking. The very young girls that served us were rude and started to argue with us. What ever happened to Respected ? So we put that to the side and moved on . Main course arrived almost instantly all Steaks were burnt . Please see photos. Again staff started to argue that all steaks are cooked medium unless otherwise ordered. Unbelievable attitude from the staff. I have always been asked " How would you like your steak cooked Sir " Not in this place. Turkey Burger again burnt. So I sent it all back and asked for the bill. we got a bill for £120 . For food not fit for a dog. And staff with no manners. AND THEN TO TOP IT OFF LEE THE OWNER CALLS MY DAUGHTER IN LAW 5 TIMES AT 0230HRS AND LEAVES A DRUNKEN MESSAGE ASKING HER TO CALL HIM.
