⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We came for a work lunch a couple of weeks ago, it was just opening and we were the first in so it was quiet. The food was good, it’s standard pub fare. I had the biggest burger on the menu, I’ve had better pub burgers but not many. I can’t comment on the atmosphere as it was for lunch and not many in. I know they do plenty of events including a book club once a month which my wife goes to. There is shuffle board too which looks fun. The decor is great, it’s a large but cosy pub. I’d recommend it for lunch and even for those working from home who want a change of scenery.

I am not from the island so it is strange that you have to come to the bar order and pay first an than someone will bring you that on your table. But good food. I enjoyed it.

I don't usually leave reviews but I sincerely had an awesome experience from the booking process to actually celebrating mom's 78th birthday at the Duke of Gloucester. Adele who served us was the best hostess ever! We were laughing all through & not one complaint on the food. Thanks to such an amazing chef with great culinary skills!

Great venue and food is fantastic. Visited here 3 years ago, and it was good then, now it really surpassed what I was expecting, and is "pub-grub" on the menu but the quality far surpasses this. I had pie and chips, which was amazing. Not the usual microwave contained pie, this is clearly made on site, and is a traditional slice of pie. Absolutely brilliant. Food menu is varied so everyone will be able to find something. Drink selection amazing too. Hope to be back again when I'm next in the area!

Wonderful meal today for Crewe Stroke Survivors Group. Excellent service, friendly staff and nothing too much trouble. Would highly recommend. Such a lovely start to Christmas. Thank you to all the staff both front of house and in the kitchen. Julie Weston
