The British Lion

📍 0.1 miles from Mornflake Stadium

About this Pub

The British Lion
Handy for matchdays: it’s a short walk from Crewe railway station, and the Alexandra Stadium is right by the station, making the pub a convenient pre- and post-game stop. The venue shows sport on TV (including rugby), so fans can catch early kick-offs before heading to the ground. Away supporters have reported using the British Lion for a pre-match pint with a friendly atmosphere, and there’s no indication it’s home-fans-only, so it functions as a neutral meeting spot near transport and the stadium.

Popped in here whilst waiting for a connecting train to London and loved it. The pub was really nice. Decor is fantastic, real fire, clean and welcoming. The prices were excellent and the staff were lovely. They even helped us out with a phone charger. The toilets were really clean as well. Will definitely go back if we find ourselves in Crewe again!

Went in here when my football team played Crewe away the other month. Decent atmosphere, and the pints, although served in plastic glasses were really fresh. Would definitely drink in here if I’m ever doing Crewe away again.
