📍 1.1 miles from Mornflake Stadium
For matchdays at Crewe Alexandra, Rookery Wood Farm is a practical pre- or post-game stop: it’s stated as around eight minutes from the Mornflake Stadium, so travel time is minimal. The pub focuses on hearty fare (all-day carvery and pub classics), and opens from breakfast time, which suits early kick-offs. With seating for around 300, it can accommodate larger groups on busy football weekends, and facilities list coach acceptance—useful for travelling supports. These points make it a convenient option for fuelling up before heading to the ground or regrouping after full-time.
I visited here for my birthday lunch on a Saturday with my young daughter. The service was great staff were really friendly. The food was lovely and the play area for the kids is great lots of entertainment for all ages. The only let down was that I didn't receive my dessert (free birthday slice) and there wasn't really anyone to ask about it so I just left it with it being free I wasn't really losing anything and my daughter was getting grouchy.
Food was lovely, only small critism not all the items are kept hot but 90% of the carvery was lovely. Would definitely return. Joe our server/greeter was excellent and a great help. Would highly recommend a visit.
Tonight we enjoyed a lovely tea and were delighted by the warm welcome from the assistant manager Abhijith. His friendly nature made us feel right at home and he kindly showed us the food options for my 11-month-old daughter and the facilities available for babies. We easily ordered our food through the app and it arrived piping hot and delicious. The portion sizes were generous and I couldn’t fault the overall experience. Everyone was friendly and the staff diligently cleaned and tidied throughout. Thank you all for a wonderful meal.
Paid £10.99 per breakfast, had 4 and was awful! Eyes solid and barely any colour to yoke defo not free range and sausages black and tough I think they had been reheated from the morning carvery , breakfast used to be lovely but not been for a few years won’t be returning
Had the all-you-can-eat Buffet Breakfast which was rather good; big plate of bacon, sausages, fried eggs and baked beans, washed down with two cups of coffee. I passed on the Yorkshire Puddings, Black Pudding and Hash Browns.
