Visited the pub yesterday. What an amazing hidden gem right in the middle of town. Amazing food... great selection of beers. There was a band playing and they were excellent. Such an amazing atmosphere. Pub staff were super helpful and friendly... will be coming back

Amazing place great atmosphere and staff. Food was hot and delicious. Would definitely recommend coming here. Will definitely come again. Ross went out of way to tell us to tell us where local things were like taxi rank,bank,shops as visitors to area. A true asset to the pub.

Tom served us and he made us feel so welcome. He recommended small plate choices which were insanely delicious. He brought our dog a bowl of water without us even asking and was so friendly and approachable he deserves a pay rise!! We will definitely be back

The Old Punch feels like stepping into your mate’s cosy living room (if your mate had a decent beer selection). The vibe is warm, the banter’s real, and there’s something charming about its slightly worn floors and well-worn bar stools — you can tell this place has character. Food hits the spot: hearty pub classics done well, nothing overly fancy but just what you want after a long week
