Great pub, good beer selection. Tons of board games and great service despite being low on staff during our visit on Sunday. We got Sunday roasts - the beef and the veggie wellington were excellent but I wouldn’t order the chicken - it was quite dry and comes as a breast so not ideal for roasting. But the flavours were all good.
Came here for lunch yesterday. It was a lovely, cool escape from the heat. We had pizzas - they were delicious! The place has a calm, friendly vibe and it is a huge pub. And Jem, our server, was beyond good - very friendly and chatty as soon as we stepped into the place. I don't live too far and I don't come here nearly enough - but I will from now on!
I've been coming to the Sailsbury for years due to their great selection of beers and amazing pizza. But it turns out they also do great subs and lunchtime deals. Would definitely recommend swinging by for a drink and a bite to eat if you're around the station and mill road area.
Lovely local pub, near to the station, that sells something other than Greene King! A great selection of Brewpoint (Wells & Co) beers. They even have a Black IPA "Sérénade Noire" usually for the French Market, on Tap. Well worth a visit..
Went for a Sunday roast and the food was really lovely. The service was quite slow - mostly for ordering at the bar rather than food itself but very nice chilled atmosphere
