Poor range of beer. No ales. Even the Stella was off. A bit dead.
Staying at the Duke and went for a little walk and found the Blue Lamp. This is just what i wanted. Nice friendly atmosphere and Karaoke on a Sunday night. Nice chat with the Landlady. Will visit next time in Barrow.
A little bit tatty could do with some new Chairs, Beer Cheap. Fire doors open every 5 seconds for the smokers. Staff very Sociable and keep the place Bleach clean. The karaoke night very good. Very popular.
Cheap beer, great laughs, what more could you want eh! Perfect place for me and my friends to chill after a long week. Cracking boozer, lovely staff.
Don't get to Barrow often enough,but The Blue Lamp has to be one of the friendliest pubs in town. Lively on the Sunday night of visit ,both staff & customers went out of their way to speak to me as an obvious outsider. (Outsiders are easily spotted in a town like Barrow!)No pretentiousness in here,great beer,terrific lively atmosphere ,everyone having a great time.
