Was on way to the bowling club along the road for drinks originally when spotted this place was actually open. Would have happily stopped here as closer to home but the owner keeps the toilets locked claiming it's council rules despite every other beach front establishment in the area being able to keep theirs unlocked. Bought a bottle of water so my child who was very clearly visably distressed and on the verge of having an accident and the owner took as long as possible before unlocking the toilet for her, making sure to do my bar transaction first. Thankfully for a change I had a little cash on me as no card transactions below Β£1.50 but no sign saying so. Place very dark and drab. If it hadn't of been for the owners attitude I'd of happily made this my regular watering hole though. Could be such a gorgeous place with some enthusiasm. Absolute prime spot as well. Maybe time for him to sell up and let someone else make it a fantastic community/tourist spot. Daughter said the toilets were shocking as most of the stall doors dont close let alone lock...but then again when you need to ask the only person (owner) working there to unlock the main toilet door if it ever got busy there would be a lot of accidents I suspect.

Great English pub, lovely ales. Very cosy inside, can sit by the window looking out to the sea. Also has tables outside for when the weather is good. The barman waits for our ales to settle then tops us up. They usually don't do hot food, but once had spicy little meatballs for us. We've come here everyday that we've been on the island. Fantastic value for money, ales are Β£3.10 a pint

Nice place. Was a bit like going into a pub back when i was a kid. Very darts orientated and looks like they have been very successful as well. Friendly staff and manager. Will definitely go back again next time we go to Walney Island.

Bit surreal under current circumstances but staff handled all the marshalling well - beer was good and prices ok - quite a few people in so reasonable atmosphere
