The pub was excellent in all regards. We ordered the soup of the day and goat cheese bon bons that were prepared very well. For mains we had the fish and risotto that were good too. The ambience was warm and relaxing. The service was excellent and we had a good chat with one of the staff.
This place has such potential with its building, location and staff, but the food let's it down. Last time I ate here they were so accommodating we were grateful for whatever they were able to offer, but on returning today someone warned us not to have a roast, but still my mum wanted one. The roast potatoes were so hard and not crispy, she couldn't eat them. My risotto was ok, but really lacked flavour and the rice was undercooked, with too much of a crunch to it.
The service was wonderful. The whole staff especially the manager Tom was so attentive and accommodating. The food was excellent! I had slow braised pork, and it was cooked perfectly. Dessert was also delicious and the cappuccino is one of the best I’ve had lately. Overall, this was an incredible dining experience. Highly recommended. Would definitely visit again.
Fantastic service and the food was outstanding. I didn’t particularly like the music and it was a bit too loud for me, but I asked to change table and they organised it in 1 minute with a smile. Highly recommended.
Had a work dinner for colleagues visiting from abroad. We were a group of 8 people and was booked into the private dining area which was great. The food was awesome, I only remembered to take a picture of the starter, which was delicious. The Main and dessert was just as tasty with respectable portion sizes. My colleagues commented on the Scotch Egg being the best Scotch Egg they have ever tasted, so something to request next time. Staff were amazing and made us feel welcomed. Will definitely come back. Facilities were clean Food: Starter (picture): Bubble & Squeak with bacon, Hollandaise sauce & soft poached egg Main (special menu): Lamb rump with potatoes & veg Pudding: Sticky Toffee Pudding with clotted cream and butterscotch
