It was more than expected. Excellent service staff. Excellent fries to the food, best I've had for years. Sallad BLT was great. Garlic bread could be more garlicy. Perry pery chicken was a bit bland with the seasoning. Chicken Garlions was good also. Nice and calm, not to loud, many rooms to sit. Classic pub but in good condition.

Hi , had Afternoon Tea this week with a group of friends and just want to say that having had this previously- last year - I was shocked at the Poor Quality and Quantity of the food compared to our Previous experience ofAfternoon Tea there last year ! The serving boards were for 2 to share previously and were plentiful πŸ‘ this year the same serving boards were for 3 to share πŸ‘Ž and that is simply due to the Reduced amount of Food provided . It consisted of One Chicken Gougon , One Halloumi Fries , a β€œ Slither β€œ of a slice of Sausage Roll , 2 small triangle sandwich portions , Cheesecake ( which was Yummy ) a β€œ Hard β€œ Small square of Chocolate Brownie and a Very Dry Scone with pot of Jan & Cream , plus Tea or Coffee also Cannot fault the service by the 2 Young men on duty that day as they were very Helpful and Efficient and Friendly x plus the Room we sat for afternoon tea was Warm and Welcoming too . We booked it as it was on offer for Β£10 throughout January πŸ‘ and I have to say that I would be very Annoyed if I had paid the full price of Β£20 and so would the other ladies in our Party

One of the popular drinking holes in Wigan. Back in the day, Royal Oak would be the last pub in Wigan Lane for the pub crawl before hitting the town. Not sure if this tradition is still active. Or have we evolved to drink coloured gins? They call it progress. Very friendly, pleasant and helpful staff. Would highly recommend.
