Probably the best craft/cask pub in Greater Manchester. Fantastic selection of beers with friendly (and very efficient)staff and a convivial atmosphere. Pool table and darts are popular too. You can also order pizzas 🍕 from the oven in the beer garden. Cheers 🍻

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great pub with a really good atmosphere and a strong selection of beers. That said, the range could be a bit broader - particularly when it comes to cider (e.g. bag-in-box Lilley’s), as well as German and Belgian beers, and fruit beers, which all felt a bit underrepresented. It’s also a shame the lasting impression was being refused a small sample of a beer, on the basis that it was over £6 so we’d need to buy a third instead. It felt a bit unreasonable, especially with higher-priced beers where a quick taste would help decide. As a result, we chose not to order it. Overall a great venue with plenty going for it, but those aspects did take the edge off slightly.

Possibly the best draft beer selection in Stockport, this is also a great old-style pub with lots of small seating areas around a central bar, and a good sized, decked beer garden and pizza kiosk at the rear. Highly recommend.

I ordered my first Boggingtons in well over 30 years only to be bitterly (sorry) disappointed. My half smelled and tasted like a glass of yeast. The lady behind the bar refused to exchange it saying it was a new barrel and everyone else was drinking it! The only reason for 3 stars is the range of beers on offer. Oh and the ease of parking!

Astonishing range of well kept cask ales plus some kegs if that's your fancy. This is one of a select group of stand out pubs in Stockport. If you're looking for some of the best real ale in the northwest, look no further.
