Good atmosphere and nice staff. Didn’t enjoy the food at all. We ordered the beetroot and butternut squash tart and what arrived wasn’t a tart. Also the staff questioned an item we ordered off the menu and said that they had “never done that”. I ordered the roast sirloin of beef as on the menu it says served pink, but sadly it was well done and quite tough. Seems to me like food is just frozen and reheated. Veg was also overcooked. All this took well over an hour to be served, despite the place being quite quiet (max 8 tables). Only positive was the chips - at least they were cooked well!
We’ve just had a lovely meal here on a Monday evening - the 2 for £15 on mains option is fantastic! Huge portions, beautiful pub, and Katie was very lovely and helpful at the bar too. Will definitely be coming back during the week for this deal!
We arrived around 6pm, food arrived promptly. Staff members were so polite. Food was pretty average. However, bonus points for free extra gravy. Lovely layout, too. Overall, I personally think it is good value for money. The staff make this place so much more nicer.
Our first time visiting this pub. The bar staff and service staff were friendly and helpful. The good was nice and fresh and was exactly what it said on the menu. Portions were a decent size. The pub wasn't packed which was also nice. Would recommend if you're passing.
Had a lovely early evening meal with friends. Katie was extremely patient with us and very helpful and friendly. We didn’t meet Ethan who worked in the kitchen but we did pass on our thanks for such amazing food. I had the Steak and Ale Pie , it was packed with filling and the best pastry I had in a long while. Will most definitely be going again. Stock up the wine Katie 🤣 thank you for finding us more of our favourite ❤️
