Argyle on tour 😃. A vibrant local pub with a great variety of ales. It had an open fire and many screens for sky sports. We sneeked in showing no colours as away fans were not welcome….spent a pleasant hour or so after our long trip on the train before a short trip to Edgeley Park.

The atmosphere in this pub is always lovely, it feels so welcoming and open anytime I've visited. The staff provide attentive service and are super easy to talk to, no request seems too big, I really appreciate their consideration for their customers. Not to mention the food was incredible, portion sizes are always generous and it came out only 10 minutes after ordering so it was perfectly hot & presented really nicely (even for how quickly it was made!). I tried the torchic sandwich and some of the new fries they offer; I would be coming to their kitchen every day if I lived closer! Thank you for a great experience, and to the owners for running such a lovely place

Been to the Armoury a few times and it never disappoints. Went this weekend to specifically try the food and wow it was amazing. We went for the munch box which was huge between two people, and everything in it was 10/10 in terms of taste and freshness. It came with fried chicken, salt and pepper chips, hash browns and mac and cheese - a must try it was so delicious! The bar staff were amazing friendly, so attentive and welcoming, it was an all round nice atmosphere in the pub. Will deffo be back again soon!

Went to a party meeting. It's a well kept Robinson's pub, with the usual tied range. Pleasant staff, great pub quiz. Can't comment on food as I didn't eat.

We found this pub to be an extremely friendly and welcoming locals pub. This Robinson pub was selling 3 real ales from their range. Unicorn, Trooper and Dizzy Blonde. The Dizzy was super. Reasonable prices as well. Will happily return in the future. Took seven years to revisit. Still a super pub. Albrecht on his first visit and chose the Unicorn bitter.
