We visited on New Years Eve and had the special NYCarvery, starters were bbq sticky ribs, and desserts we had chocolate fudge cake with cream and a berry crumble with ice cream, wonderful food, great quality and value for money. The atmosphere was great, and although busy we didn’t have any issues with space or Service. I would definitely recommend to anyone the spread eagle for any occasions
Great family pub and friendly, efficient service. We both ordered the carvery and were disappointed to find that we were given small portions of meat and it was carved wafer thin. However there were plenty of vegetables, and most of these were delicious.
An amazing visit and experience was had at The Spread Eagle in Romiley a week ago. Our son recently bought his first house with his girlfriend and this is their local. They visit there a lot now, quiz night and many visits for drinks and food. We visited them, bringing the grandmother too who loved it! Unbelievable carvery had. Very caring staff, great food so we are looking forward to many more visits!
Everything is good. Lovely atmosphere. Friendly (and pretty) staff. Foods are presented very nice. I ordered battered fish for my son and the battered layer is thin and crispy. It’s really amazing. We definitely will come again.
We went as a family of 5, (3 adults, 2 children) on a Sunday for a carvery. On entering the staff were warm and welcoming, especially to the children. The pub had a lovely atmosphere and was busy and inviting. The table service was excellent and as the adults were having the carvery and the kids eating from their own menu, the one thing that was brilliant was they came to tell us when to go up and get our food when the children’s food was nearly ready so we all ate together and no one was waiting. Brilliant and a rarity! The staff on the carvery were attentive and polite and the food was lovely, great portion size and we all thoroughly enjoyed it! We didn’t have room for pudding but will definitely be back to attempt it next time! Clearly a very well trained team of staff and we look forward to coming back soon! Thanks ☺️
