Food was top class, lovely friendly waitress and a really nice atmosphere in the pub. I booked ahead as I am Coeliac and dairy intolerant and Nichole had all the info on what I could eat once we arrived, her knowledge of all the ingredients in each dish was really reassuring. Made eating out a pleasure. Was very grateful for that. Thank you Nichole :) Cannot tell you how good our food was, would highly recommend The Arden Arms. *Photos show steak and ale pie, chips, peas and gravy Chicken supreme, roasties and veg ( this meal was gluten and dairy free)
What a proper boozer should be, great staff, friendly, authentic, polished wood furniture, a real fire, amazing hearty food and good ale. With good outdoor area and loads of character. The steak pie is a class choice.
The Arden Arms has been on our hit list for a while.. we stay overnight once a year in stockport...we love it so much.. being from stoke..we appreciate the friendliness of stockport people. We spent a few hours at the Arden Arms in the beer garden..the weather was so good. An exceptional welcome from the staff on entering... plenty of beer choice...and seeing everyone tuck into very appetising food...we ordered a lovely Sunday roast beef dinner each...beautifully presented..and tasted delicious. It's our favourite pub in Stockport now! See you next time .. thanks Janet and Steve Snow xx
Booked a table for 4 for a birthday treat. Cosy, inviting atmosphere, warm and friendly staff. It has a wonderful vibe about it. We were warmly welcomed and served by a young gentleman, don't know his name, but he had curly hair. He took our order and allowed plenty of time to choose, no rushing. Debbie also made sure we were comfortable and checked throughout the time we were there if everything was OK and if we needed anything more. This was a nice touch as most pubs once your meals are served, that's that. Not the case here, it was a busy Saturday and the pub was full, that said the staff, Debbie in particular took the time to ensure everyone seated for food were all good. The food itself far surpassed excellent, it's was tasty, well presented, we swapped out some things to replace with others, for example gravy instead of beans, arrived in its own little cute pot. The pub was clean, cosy, inviting and a warm and friendly atmosphere, with music playing in the background which was just the right volume. We ordered starters of salt and pepper and herb chicken tenders, camembert cheese, mains were, battered fish and chips, steak and ale pie, chicken burger. Cheese and onion pie. Absolutely delicious and arrived hot. Highly recommend The Arden Arms.
What a place..... What a pub. Visiting the area and just popped in. Proper old school pub with great service and great beer. Large area to the back for live music. Gem of a place..... Not refurbished and shiny just really cool. Thank you 👍
