The best pub in Stevenage ,great drink, ,company, and laughs. The pub has made gargantuan improvements under the current Management. Jay,Fiona and their daughters Amy and Gemma are all so kind, fun, sincere and welcoming and a true credit to the area. For pub grub the food is epic and incredibly reasonably priced. Proud to be a welcomed regular, alongside the other lovely regular clientele;thank you for all you do guys. Best, Richard Cupit x
Visited a couple of times whilst visiting my sister. Very friendly staff and customers. Food was excellent. I'll definitely be eating in there again.
i am changing my review. I was asked to leave as i apparently made people feel awkward. I did not do anything apart from talk to the people i was with or be on my own with my phone.. When i asked the landlord did not know why.. and yet i was still made to leave... very clicky place and not very welcoming.. i will not be going back ever again... shame as i did give this place a 5 star review before....
I go to the Shephall tavern quite often. I always feel at home there in the comfortable friendly bar area. The Landlord and his wife are friendly and always good to talk to. Friday night there is a Karaoke night which can be good fun. There is some nice bar food and a good range of drinks, all reasonably priced.
First Impression Was Great,The Pub Was Very Clean And Well Looked After. There Was Quite A Few Of Us Looking To Eat But Was Told That The Kitchen Was Small And We Would Have To Wait Until Each Order Was Out Before Ordering Another,Which We Were Happy About But After 2 Orders Was Told That The Kitchen Had Closed So Half Of Our Party Went Without! But Those Who Ate Said The Food Was Very Nice. We Also Ordered A Fruit Shoot For One Of The Children And Inside Was Full Of Mould. The Landlady Didn't Come Across Very Friendly When She Was Thanked For The Food She Turned Her Back And Just Walked Off. The Landlord Also Told Us That Its Not A Very Child Friendly Pub. So Im Afraid We Wont Be Going Back To The Shephall Tavern.
