Brilliant atmosphere for an after work drink on Christmas Eve. All staff were friendly and genuinely seemed to be enjoying the evening. Delicious festive cocktail menu. Bar staff were great despite being busy. They were calm, friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
We had a table booked for 4 for my husband's birthday. Fast service on 2 Roast Chickens, 2 beef dinners! Lovely food, very tasty, plenty on the plate & fast service. Would recommend to anybody hence the 5* given. Very cosy restaurant... pleasant atmosphere. Thankyou. 😊
I have visited The Fisherman quite a few times but today may be my last. I came for a Sunday roast with my fiancé. I must say we were seated and our drinks order taken very quickly, how ever we were left waiting 45 minutes for our roast dinner. We ordered a regular sized beef brisket which was priced at £16.25 each, but what we received was not worthy of that. Apart from a decent helping of very nice beef brisket we had one roast carrot each which was the size of my little finger including one slice of parsnip, four roast potatoes that were the size of tata tots a few hard green beans and half a plate of watery spinach. I dread to think what the portion size of a ‘lite’ roast would be if that was regular. We were still hungry but as we waited so long for our dinner we didn’t want to risk the same with ordering a pudding so we got some cake and custard from the shop on the way home. I was disappointed as we have had so many good roasts here, but at that price it has really put us off visiting again.
Lovely Food and staff. They always try to accommodate us & nothing is too much trouble for them. We always enjoy our food. I have a slight food allergy but Kiera always makes sure we are OK. Highly recommend
Just had our 50th anniversary celebration in the conservatory for 40 of our friends. Buffet 5 stars. Staff 5 stars. Venue 5 stars. Good fair price. Top class. Thanks
