The Drapers Arms is a popular pre-match venue for both home and away supporters. It's located in Stevenage Old Town, approximately 0.6 miles from the Lamex Stadium, making it a convenient stop before or after the match. The pub offers a wide range of food options, including traditional British dishes and vegetarian choices, catering to diverse tastes. It also features multiple screens showing live football, including Premier League matches, ensuring fans don't miss the action. The venue's welcoming atmosphere and proximity to the stadium make it a favored spot for matchday gatherings.
This is one the famous Sports Pub in Stevenage Old Town High Street. It's quite a big pub. This pub will be very crowded when there are football matches. If you want to visit a pub during football matches then there should be a prior booking of the table is recommended. If you are doing prior booking they charge 10 Pounds per person. But they also issue a voucher for 10 Pounds and you can utilise when you visit on the day of booking. So technically you don't lose your booking amount. Drinks are a little expensive compared to other pubs but it's worth it to pay as this pub has a different atmosphere. Along with drinks they also serve food like Burgers, Nachos, Crisps, Chips..... We tasted a few of them and it was quite good. It's a highly recommended pub. Try visiting once and you will keep visiting regularly.
Went there today to watch the football. There were 2/3 games on simultaneously in seperate areas. Atmosphere was good. Good for watching sport.
Staff friendly and welcoming good food with nice price points and good deals running threw out the week ,would defo return
The staff at the drapers are so friendly The meals are very well cooked It’s very cosy pub each time I come here I feel so welcomed definitely recommend this place
Honestly the worse experience I’ve ever had! After receiving a dead pint I’ve ask if it can be changed. I get it back to see it’s just been topped back up. Food is actually amazing how bad it really was, dry under cooked and just like eating cardboard. No taste.
