What can I say? Group of five walked in for brunch and greeted by a friendly chap ‘Ricky’. Took time to listen to our ‘needy’ table requirements 😆. Sat us down, brought us menus, came to take our drink order - the poor guy couldn’t get away from us (sorry). Absolutely phenomenal service from this guy. He took our names (and used them!) spoken to us, laughed with us and was just awesome. Food (although took a while) was gorge! Freshly cooked to order, tasty and all local produce. We were checked on during our meal. After a great hen weekend in Stevenage, this was the very best ending we could wish for. Our bride even got a photo opportunity! Ricky is an absolute gem of a member of the team here and is an asset! They are so lucky to have him meeting, greeting, chatting and making customers feel welcome! Thank you!!!
Average service. And a BIZARRE "caesar" salad. 1. Slow service. Took ages to order coffee and then forgotten about when plates were cleared. Not offered any additional drinks after the first coffee & not checked on after serving that everything was OK with food, any other drinks etc. 2. Extremely weird caesar salad. Absolutely DRENCHED in mayonnaise. Not a caesar dressing at all, and not a decent caesar salad. Couldn't taste the crispiness of lettuce, croutons etc. See photos attached - what we got was more akin to a chicken and mayonnaise sandwich filler. I can see this exact feedback was left in a recent review and don't understand why this hasn't been addressed. It's a real shame as have been a couple of times before and food was decent.
We were services by Dani and Eleanor in rump and wade tonight. Their service was incredible . Both friendly and professional, while giving us a personal and welcoming experience. Nothing was too much for them, they stood out by far with their customer service and approach. Their attitude was friendly and sincere. Staff with this approach are few and far between and invaluable to businesses Food was lovely. Looking forward to returning again in the near further.
Popped in for a Sunday roast and it was absolutely delicious. The food was top quality. We had a lovely meal and will definitely be returning. Service was great. Only improvement we could say would be to have nicer music on! It was sunday lunch and 00s pop was playing quite loudly, didn't really fit with the ambience of enjoying a nice sunday roast in the rump and wade surroundings!
Great food! Impeccable service 👌 a lot of veggie options too. 5 stars 🤩
