First time visiting the Mill Dam and it will not be the last. Food was amazing, cooked perfectly and plenty of it and it tasted amazing. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The salt and pepper chips were fantastic, mega mixed grill was huge.
Grea "This place offers fabulous food that's both brilliant value and incredibly tasty – a rare combination! We walked into a quiet, welcoming space, but it quickly filled up, becoming lively by the time we left, indicating its growing popularity. Despite any staffing challenges, the service was consistently good, demonstrating professionalism and attentiveness. A highly recommended dining spot that delivers on all fronts."
After a 45 minute wait which I don't mind if the food is good but the food was disgusting. My partner had the beef brisket burger, it was literally just a slab of fat. The bun and burger looked like they'd been dropped in cooking oil. It was in a pool of grease. I had beer battered cod with homemade chips, absolutely disgusting and dripping with grease. The homemade chips were so over cooked some were on the verge of being black. I'm honestly surprised they served it. Most of the food is well over priced especially when you can get better food around the area cheaper. The servers were brilliant and we were fully refunded but I'll never go again. You get one good impression to make when selling food and the first impression was terrible. Thats the first time me and my partner have ever asked for a refund.
We had the gammon and pork Sunday roast. It was very nice. The mint sauce and gravy were the only things I could see an improvement on. Gravy abit thin for me and mint sauce also. Only one staff member doing tables and she was rushed off her feet.
It was to busy no space and so loud we waited 45mins for our food then another 40 mins for a sweet the service was shocking. I ordered gammon sunday lunch and received gammom chips and eggs. Didn't dare say anything as it would of taken another 40 mins. Wont br back it was awful
