Food was good, very solid and good value for money. It was a nice pub, clean and well presented. My biggest take away was how friendly the staff were, very good service considering you order on an app! I'm not a local but I would come back again if I was visiting Reading again.

The interior offers a quintessential pub experience. The staff are friendly with special mention to Zack and Jess. The menu is tailored by Danny and gosh it is scrumptious. A place worth visiting and not to be missed. And the best part is the food is reasonable and worth the spend. Truly the best pub food I had for a long time.
Thank you so much for accommodating us. We met friends, visiting from Ireland here last Saturday. There were 10 of us, mixed adults and teens, we'd not seen each other for several months and this was the perfect place to meet! We didn't even take one photograph because we were all so busy having a good time. The kids and Dad's played pool and Shufl downstairs and the Mum's had a good old natter and glass of wine or three!! The food was delicious too. The Manager/Owner (I'm sorry I forgot your name!) who took my booking was so friendly and accommodating from the start and provided first class service with a smile! Will definitely recommend and return again. Thank You 😊
Jess was amazing. Super friendly and gave really good beer recommendations. Even coming back to check if we were enjoying what she recommended. Games like chess are a really nice touch
Very nice spot. Significantly quiter compare to other pubs and thats the best feature, because you can relax and talk with your firends without shouting. Also the environment is very cozy and nicely decorated. Staff are accomodative and on the friendly side. Lastly there is pool and darts on the lower ground floor!
