Food is your normal pub food but is always done really well. My only complaint is that paying nearly £9 for a ceaser salad and barely receiving any lettuce was disappointing but luckily id added chicken to it. Used to get a decent bowl of salad but seems thats not the case anymore. Atmosphere inside pub was lovely but outside it was a little more rough with people playing music from their cars, even had a van pull in front of the entance with people climbing on to the roof and dancing to rave music. Free entertainment I suppose! Staff very friendly but seem to serve the 'regulars' first despite being stood at the bar for quite some time but I guess thats to be expected.
Order chicken tikka and omg disgusting, very very spicy with no warning on the menu. When I mentioned it to the staff guy he was very rude and said the picture on the menu showed how spicy it is, no it doesn't. Ive had many of chicken tikka from a take away before definitely not spicy. Ruined my evening absolutely joke. My husbands meal wasn't very nice. Please people don't bother with this terrible company
We attended as a party of 11 on Christmas Day and all we can say it we can't wait to book again. The service and staff were amazing. The food was fantastic,way too much. The childrens meals came out first,which was really good. They also got given some chocolate after eating which was a lovely treat. All of it was cooked perfect and delicious. We had a bar tab that made it nice and easy when ordering drinks. Staff worked very hard and were always so pleasant. We have ate in the Moorland numerous times and have never had a bad meal or poor service. One of my favourite places to go. Always nice and clean too.

The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive without being intrusive, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere from the moment I arrived. I ordered the gyros flatbread, and it was absolutely delicious—freshly prepared, generously filled, and bursting with flavour. Every bite had that perfect balance of tender meat, crisp salad, and tasty sauce, all wrapped in soft, warm bread. The ambience was equally impressive—comfortable seating, relaxed lighting, and a cosy vibe that made it easy to unwind and enjoy the meal. It’s the kind of place where you can happily dine alone or bring friends and feel equally at home. Overall, a wonderful experience—great food, great people, and a setting that makes you want to linger. I’ll definitely be coming back!
