Excellent pub, excellent service from charming staff and good beer but too much atmosphere. The noise level increases as the evening goes on and reaches a level where it is difficult to hold a conversation. It's a bit like the tower of babel with so many different languages being spoken and everyone trying to outdo each other. If everyone reduced their sound level by half a decibel, it would improve the level of enjoyment for everyone. Whilst I hope for a miracle, I will still return to a pub that is somewhat of an institution. Just remember that the Holy is PUB, a brilliant pub but nothing else!
Honestly really good pub ! Good log fire what a proper pub should be. (except your not allowed to swear lol) The beers are really good! And priced really well. The only let down is the owner, if your not a regular, he looks at you like you have 3 heads 🤣 The best thing is I go in weekly and he is always so miserable. I ordered a pint last time I was in and he didn't say one word to me in the whole interaction. The women who work there are a little nicer but still, only talk to locals.Its a big let down makes you feel weird for coming in his pub to order his beer 🤣 Apart from that its a belting pub.
Great pub, friendly and laid back with Brilliant bees stouts and milds, some are a bit stronger than you think so be careful. What a fantastic evening, pork pies are really "to die for". Thanks 10/10
This is a pub with the older clientele. All locals, we walked in was like a Western. Can't even raise your voice with out been looked at. Beer selection is limited to craft beers/ale. After they have responded I would like to go back and try it out again on a saturday afternoon. I went on a sunday. I have heard great things so I will be back to see the different vibe
Great place, great staff, very cheerful, polite and pleasant. Very clean, great selection of beer and cider. They make their own drinks, which are quite good. Definitely, if you are a beer lover, you should come here
