Great menu. Something for everyone. Veg soup and halloumi starter. Nice. Tandoori sizzler and chilli con carne. Wow - such alot. I took home enough for my tea 😂. Nice chips but 1 portion enough for two. Will call again if passing. Staff friendly 👍

My daughter treated me to a meal today, Fathers day, had a wonderful Fathers day Sunday Roast, a Apple and rhubarb crumble desert. Both courses were cooked to perfection, thanks to the Chef and Servers. A perfect atmosphere, first time we've been to the Furlong will definitely return.
Myself and my family have been coming to The Furlong for years, and we have always been happy. Tonight, however, was quite a different experience. We came as a family group of 9 for a birthday meal, the food was nowhere near the quality that it was. The chips, which is what was always our favourite part, tasted totally different and old! Other family members left a lot of their food because it was not cooked to a decent standard and was served lukewarm. The waiting on staff were miserable. Then to top it off, the £5 per person deposit that was paid in advance was questioned when we came to pay, luckily we had proof of payment. As a family we feel that the quality of this place as whole has really declined, but the price has gone up! Also, it was so incredibly loud in there that we could barely hear each other speak. We will not be returning to the Furlong, and neither will any of the people that we were with, so essentially that’s lost custom from three families. Very disappointed!
It's a nice typical old style pub. Very clean nice & welcoming staff very helpful without being over the top. We had lunch & were warned that mine could take a little longer to cook. When the food arrived (which wasn't that long) I had the Tandoori sizzler & my partner had the Hunters chicken. It was presented well & tasted fantastic, I'll certainly visit here again. Didn't have a dessert as there wasn't room sadly. Maybe next time.
