Having seen a post on Facebook about Thursday Pie Night (2 Pie meals for £15), and feeling exhausted after a long day, we decided to call in on the way home from work. We were the only people in the dining area so there wasn't much atmosphere, however there was some subtle music playing. In honesty I was grateful for the peace! The young lady serving us was really polite and attentive. The food was much better than we anticipated! Cheesy garlic bread was soft and tasty, and only £2.95! The chips were different than most other places and I would have personally preferred them to be thick cut and cooked in more oil, they were more like baked wedges but still pleasant. The star of the show was the steak and ale pie, which was packed with meat and in a deliciously thick Guinness gravy. £30 for 2 meals, 2 starters and 2 drinks us excellent value and we will definitely be coming back!
Booked a room and paid for it via the link sent to me. Thought everything was fine till I got a message calling me a liar. And the room hadn't been booked and paid for Oh but it had - Julie eventually found my payment. No apologies just a rude text that my refund had been given (gawd knows how they found my card details) and not to contact them again. Lots of upset and anger caused and not even an acknowledgement or apology from them. Lesson learned, don't use the birches hotel
First time I've been here but it definitely won't be the last. Both staff and customers were very friendly and the food was amazing Thank you so much we will definitely come earlier next time for the Sunday roast 😊
We celebrated our Dads 80th birthday here on Saturday. Thanks to Julie and the team for a great night, the room was decorated lovely and we were able to use their music system play Dads favourite play list. The service was great on the night and the communication when planning the party was incredible. Thank you to you all for making Dads special birthday a great one x
Our wedding day was amazing! Jen & Peter are both amazing people and hosts, they made everything perfect for us. Food is great anytime of the day!
