Decent pub for a pre-match drink. Worth staying here for as long as possible if you’re an away fan because the bar at Sixfields is a joke. Good, quick service. Decent selection of drinks and screens to watch sports and stuff.

We came here today, me and my husband.. as a family we are visiting from Italy.. my mother and father in law were baby sitting our two young children so we thought we would walk down the road and grab a sneaky glass of wine and beer for an hour together... Whilst in there, about to leave we decided to have a tiny can each, a shot of GRIND espresso that I got in sainsburys down the road.. perhaps this is a very uncouth thing to do here ! We had no idea, we just assumed as we had ordered a beer, glass of wine and some crisps it was ok? The woman came over and shouted at us in front of everyone.. after we politely explained we didn't realize and were sorry.. she continued to shout . Even using foul language.. we explained we were here on holiday and were sorry.. however she continued with her tirade of anger and then told us never to returned.. I almost burst into tears! I'm not used to be spoken to like that and couldn't believe it was such a big problem.. if we had known we wouldn't have drunk the small cans of espresso! The most awful awful experience I have ever ever had dining out anywhere.. the most rude young woman I ever come into contact with. I certainly hope she reads this and reconsiders the way in which she speaks to customers.
