Went here for lunch, the food was lovely and everyone seemed to enjoy it. However the staff were rude and inconsiderate. Rolling their eyes and coming across extremely unbothered and frankly as if they didn’t want to be there. It was not a nice experience from them, all young and immature and it felt quite awkward to even go to the bar to pay. Think some serious customer service training is needed and some feedback that even a small smile goes a long way.
Definitely be back to this eatery. Took a while to be greated when we did was told what Booth we was in. We walked ourselves to the booth and there was only 1 menu on the table for 6. No children's menu was on the table and we was not offered one even though the member of staff would have seen we had a 6 year old with us. Good variety menu with also a carvery to boot and to be fair the food was of good standard. Starters came out quick but no offer of kids meal to come out with starters. When kids meal came out with the main plate was very hot but waiter did not warn us. Food main meal food had good portion size and looked really nice. I had the carvery and enjoyed it. Gravy was amazing and tasted homemade. Beef was to be fair best beef I have had at a carvery in a long time. Not too chewy and melted in the mouth. Definitely be back as little one loved the indoor play area and it has a nice family feel to the place. Adjust a few things and this place can easily be a five star eatery.
Wheelchair friendly (Emily was very helpful and offered different seating options and checked in regularly to see if we needed assistance). It was easy to order using the app and the food was brought out quickly. Good portions, reasonable price and friendly staff. Recommend booking a table in advance if you are with children, as it can get busy around the play area.
But of mixed feelings about this place. I came with my partner for a meal after coming back from a getaway. We called to book and the lady who picked up was lovely and sweet. As we arrived we were greeted by a lovely lad. I had asked if they allow student discount as I had 20% for all green king pubs, and he said that it should be fine and to just show it at the till. Anyways we go up order food and drinks and I show a lady my student ID and the code and she rudely tells me they don’t accept any student discount even when I explained it was for all green king. I’m not fussed I just wanted to use the code but the attitude of the lady was unprofessional. I didn’t know this place doesn’t accept the student discount. There was no need to be rude as I was nice throughout and didn’t make the situation hard. There were so many other ways she could have gone around other than sounding moody and annoyed. I said okay and paid full price. The way she served our drinks to the way she spoke was very unprofessional. The food was amazing and the staff serving the food were so lovey and sweet. I really would recommend. Just unfortunately the lady ruined the experience it with her rudeness.
I ordered from here on uber eats and never ever again!! Currently sat waiting for a different takeaway to save the day, everything was soaking wet and portion sizes was absolutely laughable 9 chips and not to mention the 1 tablespoon of peas my son got and the garlic bread so wet and soggy you can literally squeeze water out of it, the carvery was also stone cold like freezing like its been sat for hours and the mash I could not even break up so safe to say we will never ever be ordering again. Only good thing about the order was the cake! No thank you not for £37 for 3 meals And i am also absolutely shocked someone actually sent this out they most definitely could see it was unacceptable!
