Lovely little local pub with classic decor and a nice atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful and everything was clean and tidy. We went for an mid week dinner so it was quiet and service was fast. My Lasagna was delicious and tasted homemade but my partners beef burger wasnt good due to the low quality patties. Other than that, it was nice and I will be returning. Thanks
Popped in on a sunny Saturday with my daughter, really nice, quite freindly pub during the day, can't reveiw food as didnt eat. Have a cool dartshark setup in the corner. Seem really freindly and bartender was lovely.
Had a great night recently at The Round Bush. Definitely my new local! Hadn't been here in a while but now that the team has changed I have definitely found my new watering hole. The food was lovely and the customer service I received from the bar staff was amazing. Smiles all round and they couldn't have made me feel more welcome. Well done to the team.
Came in mid day on a Sunday and the staff were very welcoming the prices for food and drinks are great value for money and the portions for food are a good hearty size to fill any belly 10/10 will be coming again very soon
Please do not eat or drink here. Me and 6 others came for a pub quiz. we each grabbed food and drink and were disappointed with the food, drink and service. me personally, I had ordered a roast dinner in a large Yorkshire pudding which I believe came to £12. When I was eating one of the roast potatoes, I could only eat it partially as I clamped down there was a really hard part so I had to take that out. There was also another roast potato that I couldn't get my fork through as it was so flat and hard it literally was like a hockey puck. whilst I understand that the chef may be having an "off" day I also would like to express that the food is overpriced in my opinion and has very little flavour. 2 of the other people in my group encountered problems with the beverages as they had both ordered alcoholic drinks served in a half pint glass but the staff filled it way below the top of the glass... literally just above half way. When they asked the staff members if they could kindly top it up, the staff members said that they would have to charge extra. One of them accepted and payed and went back to their seat and the other questioned this and rightly said that it was silly that she would have to pay an extra £1.20 for extra. The extra amount was not even measured so it makes no sense. It would make more sense to pay more if it was actually measured. One of the men in the group also overheard the 2 staff members at the bar complaining about one of the people in the group who decided to question the pricing on the extra 'dash' of mixer. Reportedly saying... "she got more than she should have anyway and she still wants more". This is quite unprofessional and really not needed. the pub is a nice pub and has a nice atmosphere, it's just a shame that the food is overpriced and the drinks are not filled to where they should be. The staff seemed like they had very little training and the comment about one of the people in my group just proved how unprofessional they are. They also always seem short staffed. Another time I came here for a baby shower, I ordered chicken katsu strips and it took over an hour for me to get my food. It was busy but if you know you’re going to be that busy then you should really hire another chef. I really wouldn’t recommend eating here or drinking here to be honest. EDIT ………. First of all our table did not eat all of the food. You’ll be able to see that on the CCTV. Second of all if your staff are trained to a “high standard” then I would hate to see what a low standard would be for you. Thirdly, you cannot say that the staff reflected behaviours when it simply came from them first not us. Next, I wasn’t talking about the other food I was talking about my roast chicken Yorkshire pudding which I found to lack flavour and be overpriced. Next, the spirit and mixer is served in a half pint glass so I was correct… Lastly, the busyness from the baby shower was actually not explained to us so I think you need to do some further training on said staff. If anyone sees this review, eat here at your own risk. Have a lovely Christmas too :)
