Handy for train travellers (about 0.55 miles from Luton station) and close to the town centre, The Phoenix works as a pre- or post-match stop. It’s an Irish pub that screens sport — Inapub lists a TV Sport section and Fanzo carries a live-sport calendar for the venue — and UseYourLocal mentions regular GAA football and hurling. That means you can catch early kick-offs or other games around your fixture. It’s also Guinness Quality Accredited and known for pouring Guinness, making it a straightforward pint before heading to the ground or back to the station.
Definitely one of the best Irish bars in Luton 💚 the staff are friendly, the customers are great craic and the Guinness is to die for… definitely worth a visit.
Been in the pheonxy/Mccarthy several times on st patricks , new years and today, on this day it was fairly quiet but I saw a mate here, televisions , pool table and a large outside, good quality drinks, definitely an Irish pubs, had experience with a band in here for new years and it was good, toilets are fine I'll be here again most likely
