This was our first visit as a family, and I honestly didn’t expect to enjoy the meal but it was a pleasant surprise. I ordered a small portion and ended up wishing I could get more, but I didn’t have the chance. Next time, I’m coming ready to eat like I’m making up for three months. Had been over at L&D Hospital dropping something off and wanted somewhere nearby for a Sunday lunch - this place was perfect. Honestly can’t believe the value for money. As a vegetarian you usually find carveries a bit hit-and-miss (and often just… shit), but this one was genuinely good. I’d actually gone in wanting the Mushroom Suet Pudding, but they didn’t have it, so we ended up with the carvery lasagna option instead. Didn’t have high hopes (lasagna can be underwhelming), but it was really nice, proper comfort food and much better than expected. Impressed and would come back.
on 26 December 2025 our party of 3 waited 45 minutes after ordering our food - the vegetables on the carvery were mostly luke warm or cold,, I ordered coffee - it was almost luke warm and the cup was only just over half full all this for £18. When the ordered food came it was ok but by then we were fed up
Lovely meal, waitress Maria really pleasant and friendly she made the experience so much more nicer. But not sure about the geezer behind the bar a bit grumpy. The lady who allocated the seating efficient. Thank you roast potatoes lovely.
Had a lovely early Christmas carvery. Big thanks to frank and Jordan from the kitchen for an amazing roast! Food was delicious. Merry Christmas all x
