The Ship Inn is a popular choice among Exeter City fans and away supporters alike. It's located within walking distance of St James Park, making it convenient for pre- and post-match gatherings. The pub shows live football on Sky Sports and TNT Sports, enhancing the matchday atmosphere. Additionally, it offers a selection of local ales, including Avocet and Otter Ale, and serves traditional pub food, providing a comfortable and welcoming environment for fans.
This pub is amazing set on little side street called Martin's lane. Olde world pub the Food was phenomenal big up the chefs are on point fresh and hot and amazing flavour it's a must try The Ship Burger and The Duck Hash. We have used Greene king pubs a lot in our travels and this is by far No1 and are server Emma was outstanding in her service.
Two experiences! Went in Saturday night after a show... great atmosphere, great music.. everyone talked to everyone. 50+, young things, old wrinkleys... never seen such a mix... mixing it up. Sunday lunch: amazing, delicious, tender, again a great atmosphere. Didn't realise there was an upstairs. Will definitely go back, would definitely recommend
We didn't eat in here as we had other plans but the food looked nice. The building is probably the oldest in Exeter and the atmosphere is wonderful. Nice pint of real ale. We will return.
We popped in here for a quick lunch yesterday. Considering the large number of customers dining we were served our meals relatively quickly. The food was really tasty and was washed down with a good pint!
Great traditional pub in the heart of Exeter's consumer centre... we had a family lunch gathering here, having all travelled from far and wide. Service truly top notch, kind, friendly and efficient. Food - all good, pub grub that does the job, and no complaints from us. Good value too. Lovely old interior with different nooks and seating areas, perfect for a quick drink or some decent food.
