Fantastic little place just a short walk from the train station. Went before the football match last Saturday and was really impressed with the craft beers on offer and the customer service the staff are what make this place so good especially the lovely lady that went out of her way for my 7 year old son she is a credit to the business. Unfortunately my son is a fussy drinker and will only really drink squash or fruit shoot which they didn't have but the bar maid which I didn't realise went over to the local shop completely out of her way to get him a drink. Really grateful for this which she didn't have to do thank you and I can only recommend the venue to locals and visitors whether popping in for one quick drink or a social few will definitely be back in the future if we are to play again

Had a very good selection of ales, ciders and stouts. owner was very friendly and explained the differences in beers. If after a truly craft beer/cider then I highly recommend. Price wise.. can be quite high but you have to respect the fact these beers have a very strong abv. Will happily come back for the quality and service of this place... A***

The Last Heretic is a fairly new micropub a little outside of Burton centre, less than 10 minutes from the train station. It's a very small place, but offers a larger outside seating area in the back; the latter (as you can see on my pictures) isn't the most comfortable though. There's a tiny bar with a big guy behind it who will help you with the selection. All real ales are up on a chalk board, with ABV and price per pint. The prices for ale here are very competitive, around UKP 3.50 a pint. The beers are fresh and well-kept (in a little chamber behind the bar, directly from the cask). The good range of beers makes this a place to recommend.

A lovely little micropub situated nicely by the train station. Clean and tidy with an excellent atmosphere, friendly staff and really good beer. The pork pies are pretty special too.
