Had a lovely Mother’s Day lunch, food was outstanding. Every dish was very well presented and so tasty, we all enjoyed it. Even though it was full being Mother’s Day, we were still sat at the correct time and food came out on time. We have only been twice but will go again for sure.
Great food, I ordered the vegan option (there was only one) but then I was brought a dish with egg in and then told that they don’t offer this as a vegan option usually, despite the menu saying it was vegan? Which I pointed out quite awkwardly to the server. It was a bit of an awkward situation as everyone else had their food and mine didn’t come until 10 minutes later, I wasn’t offered a drink or anything in compensation. But the meal was delicious when it came, everyone else enjoyed theirs too and they had a vegan Bakewell tart dessert which made up for everything as I’ve never had that. Please keep that on the menu it was amazing! Would definitely go back!
First time visit off recommendation's. Booked at short noticed for 6 adults, 4 kids and a baby for Sunday lunch. When arrived found it to be a lovely looking pub in a nice area. Staff were very accommodating and immediately showed us to our table when arrived and took drink orders straight away. The pup is gorgeous inside with loads of pleasant seating areas. I ordered 3 courses including the Sunday roast. The food came out without too long of a wait and all I can say is every course was delicious. A little bit on the expensive side but you are getting good food. Will definitely try again.
Came for lunch today around 12 noon, called prior to see if needed to book ( we did ), the service once seated was very good from the 2 young ladies who looked after us ( very attentive etc ), food was good probably a bit quick from ordering if anything as you wonder how it is produced in 5 mins? Fish & Chips but very nice! The Xmas decorations were very beautiful & a lovely setting in the bar area. So very good only slight minus was the lady on the phone when booking & at reception upon entering could be more bubbly / 1st impressions matter. Good food, lovely setting & very good staff 👌🏻 would recommend definitely - Please thank the staff as above.
